Olivier LANG studied law at the Robert Schuman University in Strasbourg. He became a lawyer in 1998 and has since then been registered at the Luxembourg Bar. After his traineeship and legal practice examination, he co-founded the law firm NOEL WIES LANG & MAJERUS where he remained a partner for four years. From 2004 to 2019, he was a member of the Commission consultative des droits de l’Homme du Grand-Duché de Luxembourg (National Human Rights Commission) where he was vice president for ten years. Since 2004, he is the Luxembourg representative of the Academic Network for Legal Studies on Immigration and Asylum in Europe, Odysseus. In 2006, he founded the attorneys’ office LANG AVOCATS which he decided to devote largely to the defense of people whose human rights are particularly vulnerable.
